Week 1

Monday 16th March 2020 - Friday 20th March 2020

DAILY RECITATIONS

Every morning students recite The Lord's Prayer, The Bahamian National Anthem & The Pledgeof Allegence. Please join them and help encourage the correct posture for each recitation.

LESSON  1

Students will listen to the story of David and Goliath on Youtube (Beginner’s Bible).

Print and complete the color worksheet of David and Goliath. Following the story, students will recite the memory verse (Joshua 1:9) and sing along with the song. Finally, students are asked to reflect upon the David and Goliath story and answer the questions provided. 

LESSON  2

Students will focus on reviewing the number 7 (seven).

Student can enjoy the number 7 video provided below. Students will count seven circular objects in their home (parents are asked to make a written note of what their child identified). They will also practice tracing the number 7 with a

purple crayon. 

LESSON  3

Students will be able to listen to and recite the National Anthem of The Bahamas and the Pledge of Allegiance. Students will then color the Coat of Arms.

LESSON  4

Today students will review the National Symbols of The Bahamas. 

 

National Symbols Of The Bahamas:

     THE NATIONAL COAT OF ARMS.

     THE NATIONAL FLAG.

     THE NATIONAL BIRD: THE FLAMINGO.

     THE NATIONAL FISH: THE BLUE MARLIN.

     THE NATIONAL TREE: THE LIGNUM VITAE.

     THE NATIONAL FLOWER: THE YELLOW ELDER.

     

LESSON  5

Students will identify and trace the word diamond and color its shape.

Students will also improve upon their writing skills by tracing  letters A-G on the tracer page. 

Print instructions: (Click the "WRITING" tab below, 'Creating a Custom Tracer Page' opens; on this page, click the "block" tab. Scroll down a little and you will see four 'Tracer Line' spaces to type in. In each space type: abcdefg. Once you have typed the letters in each of the four spaces, click "Make Tracer Page" writing in blue. Right click and save the sheet to your computer. Now, print! You did it!)
